When you think long and hard about it American Football is pretty stupid. Im at a loss to why they call it "football" as foot-to-ball contact is minimal. On that note why do Americans insist on calling the real football "soccer"? In my mind American football is dumb and lacks concept.

We do a lot fo things that completely go agaisnt the ways of the rest of the world, while the rest of the world uses metric we are still using inches, feet, yards, pounds, gallons etc.
America is like that totally opposite to the rest of the world in so many aspects. I guess they want to be unqiue but as one of them has commented they are trying to be very "self-centered".
Vevck is right, but I worry how the rest of the world views americans, with our president and all. American Ignorance is another topic, was in a deli shortly after Saddam Hussein had been captured, and I heard a man say "Well I hear he is cooperating with bush over in Iraq" I had to say "Bush in Iraq talking to Saddam?! Bush speaks one language and might I add he sucks at it(English that is).
It's not that I hate America, read inbetween the lines.
Hey spartan, no one really hates Americans as such. Most of them hate America because of the leadership and the policies towards some nations and having an attitude of Big brother to the rest of the world.

I can agree with you as far as the "big brother" goes. I find it disgusting how America enforces that other countries listen and abide by the rules of the UN when in fact George Bush ignores the UN's orders to stay out of Iraq. Not only are these actions Hypocritical(One of his many reasons for invading Iraq was their failure to comply with UN) It will also fast track the inevitable fall of the UN as an international peace keeper. Also Americ making ominous and hostile notions towards countries like Pakistan, Iran and North Korea for their Nuclear weapons operation when in fact the US probably has more nukes than all of these countries put together. this also brings up the topic of the UN's clear bias, why didn't they ever consider inspecting the US, after all in the first Persian gulf war the US used many weapons and tactics that the UN clearly Banished. For example the use of Napalm and Cluster bombs. Perhaps America had the UN in "check as some may put it.
You've been living in a dream world Spartan, a dream world induced by fear and the American media. A nuclear weapon isn't somthign you can just "use" it takes mroe than that. The only terrorists that have nuclear weapons are the Americans, its not liek there are nukes in the streets at "terrorists" disposal. Even if terrorists had nukes they couldn't use them, if I give you and your friends a nuke would you be able to send it across the globe to destroy a city? NO! The only thing next to possible that "terrorists" could do is smuggle them into the US and create a dirty bomb. But as you are undoubfully aware nuclear materials are not easy transported. They must be surrounded by lead, at least 3 feet of it! lead is very heavy. "terrorists" can't get there hands on nukes, and if they could it wouldn't matter. Find out the facts before you say things of such Ignorance.
A nuke does not have a button you press yo detonate them! Your reducing these complicated weapons to simple little things which they are not. Terrorists cannot get a hold of nukes, if they could they would have had them and used them, thats why terrorists are defined as using geurilla warefare. Once again you are reducing uranium to easily transportable materials which they are not. You can't "run around town" with a nuke its impossible: havw a clue what your talking about before you reduce things.
Spartan your knowledge of Nuclear weapondry technology astounds me, however it is still limited to the videogame world. Nukes have nothing to do with explosives, the explosion you see is created by nuclear fission(the splitting of atoms). Imagine the power that is used to goive electricity to entire cities blowing up in one bomb, thats what a nuke is. In fact if you were to detonate explosives in or around a nuclear bomb it would render it usless.
In other words I have played all those videogames to, they weren't that good. You shouldn't base your knowledge off of them.
Instead of trying to prove me wrong every possible way you can why don't you listen to what you are saying. You are trying to tell me that the US should have a military occupation in countries with nuclear projects because it would be easy for terrorists to get a hold of their nuclear weapons and detontate them in large cities. Look at your previous comments!
well if you wish to get back to the topic at hand, why isn't anyone monitoring the US?
lets take a look a couple of years ago... perhaps clinton-times. did the world look at america the way they do today. ok.lets agree that , what they did in afghan and iraq was for good- to do away with dictators. but arent they dictating the course of these countries them selfs right now. reminds me of an oxymoron 'fighting for peace'.

from not just the people of these countries they 'freed' but from most of the rest of the world too. the simplest thing they could have done to evade all this was to present the issue to the united nations and then act. that would have seemed far more respectable than playing 'police' to the whole wide world. Who the hell did bush think he was?! that he could just barge into a country , bomb them down, kill a good part of the public who were supposed to enjoy the 'democracy' he came to gift them. - what a messiah! And about possesion of nuclear weapons. let me ask : if america is talking
about nuclear disarmament then- the first thing they need to do is drop down their own guns, instead of saying ,'I and a couple of my pals over here can keep ours but not you.' and to tell you the truth , it seems much easier to beat this statement today than any other times in the past, thanks to USA's very own irresponsible acts in the recent. i guess it gives the world a chance to say,'USA,its u we are all scared off. we dont consider you responsible enough to your own nukes.' This doesnt mean that the US is bad in all aspects... whats in bad taste now it the 'All Mighty' attitude. May the All Mighty save America!

Leaders of other nations speak up against the US all the time, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, Fidel Castro of Cuba, Jacque Chirac(did I spell that right?) of France, Kim Il song of North Korea.
spartan, you sound grown-up ... undoubtedly US is one of the super powers .. ok .. may be the only super power. but that doesnt mean other countries will just put up with any non-sense that the US does.Its a great nation that gives so many people hopes, jobs, a life - no matter which country they come from -where can you see such openess?. An act of goodness will always be appreciated. Dont you think , for being a great country that it is, it shouldn't stoop down to such levels. If you didnt know,even smaller countries have stood up to tell what they felt about the whole thing. India firmly told that it couldn't appreciate what the US had done.Honestly speaking, "No one moniters the US because we are one of the superpowers. No other country has the guts to speak up against anything the US does. " that statement it self holds the ans- that the US being the superpower believes that the word 'superpower' will gag all the other countries voices. Dont you think that the 'superpower' -thing is getting into US's head?

Vivek Believes what he chooses to believe. It would make sense wouldn't it? I believe the US government knew every last detail about 9/11 yet they choose to do nothing. I also believe a plane never crashed into the pentagon. With an event like this it gives the US power, from other nations and the support of its own people. This support includes but is not limited to their fear. Fear is very dangerous, fearfull people will do crazy things. Like support the war in Iraq.
i did not follow too much on the intense commentary...just wanna say that most of the americans i've come across are great people..unfortunately, their image has taken a stab under the bad leadership...dont think anyone has a personal stance against americans in general, more like their policies.

Hey Spartan i don't believe in everything i read. But for one who thinks logically and applies a bit of analysis u need to figure out what happened to the plane that crashed into Pentagon. Any plane crash site is wrecked with the remains of that plane. But all the news footage that showed pentagon site never had any wreckage and also there was enough time between twin towers and pentagon episodes. So i still believe that the pentagon crash was a staged one.

Regarding Bush getting elected again; I guess Mr Bush was more vocal and stuck to his statements he made during the election rallies. His opponents never took a firm stand on many of the issues during the debates.
Spartan havent you seen what 9/11 did to our country. Overnight 9/11 changed every American it made them proud scared and supportive of GW. an event liek this is all the government needs to do whatever they want because the people are scared and supportive. Our government let this happen for a number of reasons. they could take care of afganistan and then some how link it to Iraq to get oil/

what hapened at the pentagon is just one example, havent you ever hear dof what happened in 1988. The government knew of all these crack dealers in the city of Detroit. They also knew were they were getting their stuff. They could have easily shut them down, but choose not to because the market had crashed in 87, and crack was supplying many jobs in the area. This is all documentated, the governemnt denies it and states they had a lack fo resources to stop them. When several members of the Detroit PD narcotics unit said they had more than they needed to stop, arrest and prosecute the dealers, not to mentio taking down the ring would have effectively taken a toll on the crack problem.
Did you even watch the video about the pentagon, look at the photos, there is no way a gigantic jet with two huge wings crashed into the pentagon.
Watch the video, do some reading find out and prove to us that your right. I really want to see you do it.
Hey Spartan and Kevin! we are not some guys who are jobless and read newspapers and watch videos all the day so that we sit and debate over these issues.
One more thing Spartan, i am not gonna say something like this "Next your gona tell me about the aliens from jupiter and mind control devices in our dental fillings." But to your knowledge most of the people who are hallucinated about aliens are in US of A and those who live by Area 51. Most of the stories about people having sighted and abucted by aliens are only heard of in US. So i am not feeding any information to you, rather it's your own Media which feeding information to the rest of the world. So you better know about whats happening around the world, before having a prejudice over someone.

I believe that area 51 is real, I don't believe it has anything to do with aliens tho. Its just another one of those 650 billion dollar military places. Its clear there up to somthing over that way, what si the name of that interstate parkway outside of LAs vegas with all the threatning ominous signs warnign abotu the place?

Spartan and Kevin, its your blind patiotism that is talking and not common sense. Thats very natural . But put aside the love you have for your nation and and explain to me in simple logic... explain to me why there wasnt any picture of the plane in any of the news coverage. there were indipsutable videos on the twin tower attack, but why not on the pentagon - you dont need to be a rocket scientist to wonder why isnt there any video clips on the one of the most well protected govt infrastructure. doesnt it give room for people to question and doubt some foul play? If the US govt hadn't had anything to hide... why isnt there even a single visible proof of a plane at the crash site. why go that far, patiently checkout the flash vivek mentioned,look at the pictures... there is this pic of men standing infront of the clean hole cut by the 'plane'. i am not going to argue on whether a plane can cut such a neat hole into a building .(considering weight , velocity- i dont think it is possible).These people , lets say they are of an avg height of about 6 ft at most standing about 2-4 ft away from this hole. it is clearly visible to any pair of eyes that the hole should be atleast 2xs the men's height. Lets say aprox 12-14 ft. A boeing 757 , is a huge passenger aircraft, that can carry 228 passengers ... imagine how wide it should be to hold people, cargo, equipment- logically , the cockpit could be wider than that hole! How does such a huge plane snuggle into a hole just 12 or something ft wide!!! Passenger aircrafts a build quite sturdy, there should be mangled metal lying around atleast. A boeing 757 cant blow to smithereen ,can it?! Dont argue baselessly... Answering our questions using simple logic would help.
Well, by the way there is a lot of specutaion over the Twin Towers' crash too.
